Emilio Khatis (23) and Charlie Bartholomew (20) felt nothing but disappointment when finishing chemo and realising that no bells were present within not only their hospital chemotherapy ward but in hospitals across there local state of NSW. Mr Khatis endeavoured to gain an opportunity to ring a bell loud and proud. The pair were later given the privilege by Australia’s most iconic church St Mary's Cathedral, to ring their bells which are hundreds of years old and can be heard through Sydney's CBD. Mr Khatis stated “I rang the bell for my caregivers, family, friends, and perfect strangers who have given time, prayers, encouragement and strength on my behalf.”
